Terms & Conditions

Purpose of the Initiative

This fundraising initiative is organised by South London Islamic Centre (SLiC) for the sole purpose of raising funds for the masjid and its projects, for the sake of Allah. Participation is voluntary, and all funds raised will go directly towards SLiC causes.

Fundraising Period

The initiative will run from [start date] until 27th March. Only donations received within this period will be counted towards the fundraiser's total.

Eligibility to Participate

• Participants must register and have an official SLiC fundraising page.
• Participants must be able to legally fundraise and collect donations in the UK.
• SLiC reserves discretionary approval rights.

Minimum Fundraising Requirement

• A minimum of £5,000 is required for Umrah gift eligibility.
• Participants who raise less than £5,000 will still be rewarded by Allah for their efforts.

Donations & Payment Methods

• One-off or recurring monthly payments are accepted.
• The official SLiC platform must be used.
• Offline donations are counted if verified by SLiC.

Intention & Conduct

• Fundraising must be carried out with good character, honesty, and integrity.
• Disqualification may result from misleading information or pressure tactics.

The Umrah Gift

• The Umrah gift consists of Umrah tickets for two (flights & hotel included).
• The gift is a gesture of appreciation, not a wage, prize, or contractual entitlement.

Winner Selection

• The eligible participant who raises the highest total verified amount by 27th March will receive the Umrah gift.
• SLiC determines outcomes in case of ties.

No Cash Alternative

The Umrah gift is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.

Accountability & Transparency

• SLiC records are final.
• SLiC may audit fundraising activity if required.

Disqualification

SLiC may disqualify participants who:

• Breach these Terms & Conditions.
• Act dishonestly or unethically.
• Damage SLiC's reputation.

Amendments

SLiC reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions if necessary, with notice given where possible.

Reminder on Intention

The true reward is with Allah. The Umrah gift is secondary, and participants should guard their intention from riyaa', ego, or unhealthy competition.
